Arisa Chapter 11: Owner of the Number
So since I’ve stopped scanning in Arisa, I won’t be posting the cover pages…
To those of you who are asking: We are no longer releasing Arisa. We dropped it due to licensing. Don’t ask for scanlations.
The reason I’m providing summaries is to satiate you fangirls until the English release by Del Rey. Okay?
Summary under the cut; SPOILER ALERT:
Manabe has discovered that Midori Yamashita, Arisa’s boyfriend, has one of the chosen passwords. It could be possible that Midori is the King, then. Tsubasa’s not so sure, though.
We meet a new character, Oosawa, who is desperate to get into the King’s Secret Room in order to wish for his grades to raise. He suspects everyone of hiding their passwords from him, and starts attacking a girl because she refuses to show him her phone.
Midori stops the fight be revealing that his was one of the chosen passwords, however he insists that he won’t be making any wishes.
Suddenly, Midori receives a text message, welcoming him into the King’s Secret Room. The class freaks out like whoa, and Tsubasa rushes outside the room to check and see if her phone has the same thing. It does.
The message said that since all the chosen ones didn’t submit a wish, out of fairness no wish will be granted this time (oops, guess this ruins Midori’s plan).
They’ve got until next Friday to submit a wish they want granted. If not everyone wishes, he won’t grant anything. Again.
Oosawa asks Midori to enter in a wish for him, since he refused to wish for himself. Then the class gets all, “hey, what about us?”, and offers Midori all kinds of favors in return for entering their wish.
But, again, Midori declines, saying he won’t wish. At all.
Manabe thinks it’s suspicious. Like, who wouldn’t want their wish to be granted? Tsubasa knows what he’s getting at, but…
Later, when Tsubasa is walking around campus, she spots Midori doing some hard-core archery. He notices her watching and hands her an amusement park ticket, for the two of them to go together on Sunday.
But if Midori is the King, then he knows Tsubasa’s true identity. So why would he be asking her out? She decides to use this opportunity to investigate him.
They have a grand ol’ time; apparently Tsubasa can’t handle roller coasters, but Midori handles all rides with the same serene look on his face. He even holds Tsubasa’s hand, and gets her a drink!
It’s a little too lovey-dovey for Tsubasa, who feels guilty because she’s not actually Arisa.
On the ferris wheel, Midori gets a serious look in his eye, and says he has something he wants to show her. He starts counting down, which freaks Tsubasa out (as she remembers Manabe saying Midori seems suspicious).
In the end, though, it turns out to be just a rainbow that he wants to show her. At a certain time, the light hits a large fountain just right, giving off a rainbow. Aww. Midori recounts the time when he first took Arisa to an amusement park, and how it seemed like a dream when she accepted his love confession (in front of that very fountain).
He tells Tsubasa that his wish, if he had to give one to the King, would be for Arisa to always be smiling.
At this point Tsubasa decides that Midori just can’t be the King, with feelings this pure. She remembers receiving happy letters from Arisa, telling her twin of how glad she was that the guy she liked finally confessed to her.
Tsubasa feels like a liar. :(
Later, she’s still kind of unsure as of what to do, since Midori needs to enter a wish in order for King Time to really start again.
The final scene of the chapter is Oosawa (crazy dude with low grades, remember?) in the nurse’s office, asking to take a nap (I don’t understand how they’re allowed to do that, but whatever). The nurse says okay, but be quiet because there’s someone in the bed next to yours.
Oosawa muses on how school is pretty boring without King Time, and how Midori should’ve done something…
A voice from the bed next to his: Want me to grant that wish? (the beds are separated by a curtain, so we can’t see the guy’s face, but it is a guy)
Oosawa asks who that person is, and in response, the person slides a cell phone through the curtain.
The phone has a password into the King’s Room on it. The voice says that he’s taken Midori’s phone. Therefore, he can grant Oosawa’s wish.
To be continued….

Ohhh spooky. o_o
Just based on this chapter, maybe the king is Manabe and he’s just playing a really twisted game? He could’ve given himself the password, just to give it to Tsubasa and trap her… though his surprise upon discovering her identity kinda defeats that. Hm.
Midori is too lovey-dovey for me ahaha. xD
I want to suspect him, but I can’t
because I’m still holding onto the same suspicions ever since chapter three, I believe.Thank you for the summary! (:

Ok, freaky insane as always, but that’s why we love it :] I dislike how Midori was just pushed out of the scene like that, and how some nobody-ish person just came in and took a big role in the story for himself. But wow, eleven chapters into the story and we’re already seeing so much. Is this meant for a short series?

The king isn’t Midori, based on the summary. The guy has Midori’s phone, probably its Manabe (Could be, he bumped into Midori.)I have no clue, a relative of Midori or something??
